Subject: Valuable work of historical significance
Subject: Valuable work of historical significance
For anyone who wants to develop a thorough understanding of the role Christianity played in the ideological narrative as constructed by the National-Socialists and especially their protestant-christian following/party-members, one must read this work by Adolf Harnack. It appealed to the nazis, because the teachings of Marcion rejected everything hebrew that still was attached to the Christian faith, at the same time maintaining (according to their views of course) their faith in Christ. Most nazis, the vast majority indeed, wasn't pagan, but found ways to mold their faith and the sources they used, in such a way to align it with their ideology and new worldview.
